BARAMULLA: In view of the Muharram procession scheduled to be taken out from Chanibal Pattan to Narbal on 25th Muharram, i.e 19th November, 2014 and with the expectation that about 30,000-40,000 people will be participating, traffic will be stopped at Narbal and Hartrath (Singhpora) on NHW-1A from 12:00 to 6:00 PM and accordingly the traffic diversion has been planned as under:
Srinagar bound vehicles from Kupwara, Handwara and Sopore will move via Hygam to Sumbal to HMT, while vehicles from Baramulla and Uri will move from Hamrey gate, Pattan to Sumbal to HMT Srinagar.
Vehicles from Pattan will move via Srinagar via Hartrath Bridge to Khanpath to Shadipora to HMT Srinagar.
Similarly, heavy motor vehicles moving towards North Kashmir from Srinagar will move via Narbal, Magam turn right near SDPO office Magam to Kungamdora to Khore to Hanjiwara to Pattan, while as light motor vehicles moving towards North Kashmir from Srinagar will move to Baramulla via Narbal to Kanihama to Nooripora to Archinderhama to Gund Khoja Qasim to Singhpora Pattan.
