JAMMU: A traffic cop reunited a lost girl with her family, who has forgotten the way to home. As per details, at around 1800 hrs at Poonch House point, Vinod Kumar Sgct, who was deployed there for traffic duty, noticed a baby girl roaming and crying across the road. He immediately approached the girl and asked about her whereabouts. The girl told the cop that she was playing with friends near her house and while playing, she left the place and has forgotten way back to home.
Upon this, Vinod Kumar SgCt first made her comfortable by providing her juice and chips, and tried to interact with her for ascertaining details of her parents, family and home address etc, but she only told that her name is Veera, 4 years old.
He called local police and also enquired from local residents regarding details of girl. After hectic efforts, the parents of lost girl were traced and after proper verification, the little girl was handed over to her mother and father. Local people have appreciated the timely action by traffic cop.
