UDHAMPUR: A traffic cop) was hit by a speeding truck near Battal Ballian bypass in Udhampur and got injured.
According to reports, a JKP Jawan posted with Traffic Police who was engaged on road clearance and to regularise the normal traffic on Bypass in Udhampur was hit by a speeding truck.
After hitting the cop, driver of the truck fled from the spot who was later nabbed at short distance. Injured cop was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors on seeing his condition critical further refereed to GMC Hospital Jammu. Victim was identified as Alkla Nazir Ahmad son of Mohd Nazir resident of Atholi in Paddar District Kishtwar. Udhampur Police has registered a case and launched the investigation.
