JAMMU: J and K Sports fraternity including J and K Olympic Association today honoured Ladakh and Kashmir based sports persons who recently participated in the First South Asian Tong-il-Moo-Do Championship and won 20 medals.
In a function organised at Amar Singh Club here the sportsperson were fascinated by the members of J and K Olympic Association who also distributed merit certificate to them.
A total of 35 participants were a part of the team who won 14 gold, four silver and two bronze medals.
Indian contingent emerged as the overall winner with Bhutan finishing in the second place. Present during the function were General Secretary of the Association Arshad Aziz along with the female Coach Bisma Riaz and Saima Rashid male Coach Bilal Majid.
Various members of the J and K Olympic Association including Rangil Singh President, Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, General Secretary, Kiran Wattal Vice President, Deepak Handa, President of J and K Yoga Association and Yogesh, General Secretary of Judo Association were also present.
