VIJAYPUR: The residents of village Supwal, Baderi and Lankha in a protest said that they are not getting drinking water for the last two weeks due to burning of electric motor. They said that they had approached the PHE executives number of times but to no purpose.
The villagers said that non-availability of drinking water during this hot summer and scorching sun causes great difficulty to the people which warrants the attention of the PHE Department on the highest priority to replace the burned motor within 24 hours.
The protesters said that the water supply should be restored in the village immediately failing which they would block the National Highway. Prominent among those who were present include Raghubir Verma, Sudesh Kumar, Girdshari Lal Sharma, Shakti Devi, Jyoti Devi, Vinay Kumar, Bishan Dass and Hitesh Kumar.
