Three teachers arrested for allowing copying

JAMMU: Police on Friday arrested exam superintendent, two invigilators, supervising class 12 examination and seized Rs 21,000 from their possession allegedly for allowing mass copying in a government school in R S Pura.
“Acting on tip off, police along with officers of Education Department this afternoon raided Government Higher Secondary School for Boys, R S Pura and found Class 12 students copying in the bi-annual examination,” police said, adding that the teachers on duty were promoting the menace in lieu of consideration.
“Both of them were arrested on the spot and Rs 21,000 were recovered from their possession,” police said.
The teachers have been identified as Kuldeep Raj, Yash Pal of R S Pura and Ravinder Kumar of village Jediyan Kallan, R S Pura.
FIR 170/2017 under sections 5/2 of Prevention of Unfair Means Act and 120-B of RPC have been registered against them and investigation started, police said.
