Three killed, six injured in road mishaps

SAMBA: In separate road mishaps in Jammu province, three persons were died and six got injured on Wednesday.
One person got killed while another got injured when the car in which they were traveling skidded off the road on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway near Supwal (Samba).
On receiving the information, Supwal Police team reached the spot and rushed both to Government Emergency Hospital Vijaypur where one Ashish Gupta (25) son of Baldev Raj Ward Number-6 Samba was declared borught dead by doctors while the injured Pratap Kumar (23) son of Baldev Raj resident of Ward No-1 Samba was referred to GMC Jammu on being critical condition. Concerned police has registered the case in this regard for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a Matador bearing (JK02R -5851) on way fm Jourian to Akhnoor turned turtle on roadside near Kaelliwali on Sohal Akhnoor road and also hit one stranded Motorcycle No JK02AW /9962 resulting in motorcyclist namely Uttam Kumar son of Jagmohan Verma resident of Sohal and four passengers namely Yashpaul Singh (40) son of Tek Chand, Vishno Devi (62) wife of Simru, Soma Devi (55) wife of Bishan Dass son of Jadh, Parmo Devi (55) wife of Sian Dass resident of Kahnachak got injured. All the injured were shifted to SDH Akhnoor for treatment.
In another mishap, one person died on the spot when a Tata Mobile bearing (JK 20-5649) fell down in a 100 feet deep gorge near Chowki Chora in Akhnoor resulting in death of driver namely Puran Chand son of Malap Ram resident of Bhamla. In separate accident, one pedestrian Raj Ali son of Noor Hussain resident of Kawalta Samba died on the spot when he was hit by car (6695/JKO6) near Kartholi Bari-Brahmana on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway. Car driver namely Vishal Singh son of Om Parkash resident of Bhaderwah was arrested and vehicle was seized by Police Station Bari-Brahmana.
