RAJOURI: Excise Department on Wednesday arrested three bootleggers including two women and recovered 350 Kg Lahan and 20 liters of illicit liquor at Rajouri District.
Under the direction of Excise Commissioner, Mohammad Javed Khan, the excise team of Excise Range Rajouri led by Mohammad Pervaiz, Inspector Excise under the supervision of Farooq Choudhary, Excise and Taxation Officer Excise Range Rajouri-Poonch conducted series of raids at Villgae Chatibakri, Sagyote, Sasalkote, Agarti, Doongi, Jamola areas of Rajouri District.
During the course of raids, three persons identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Bali Ram, resident of Agarati; Kamlesh Devi wife of Pashori Lal and Anita Devi, wife of Magh Raj both residents of Sasalkote were arrested and booked under Excise Act, 1958.
The excise team recovered 350 Kgs of Lahan and 20 liters of illicit liquor which were destroyed on the spot.
