Three employees suspended for dereliction of election duty

POONCH: Three government employees were suspended for dereliction of election duty on Sunday by Panchayat Election Officer Poonch, Rahul Yadav.
“On December 12, 2020 polling material to polling parties were distributed for polling in Balakote Block and all the parties received their polling material from their respective distribution venue while during late hours in the evening, a picture of ballot paper for DDC Constituency Balakote was posted in advance on social sites and also some local News agencies publish this on their whatsapp groups,” Rahul Yadav said in an order issued on Sunday.
“Returning Officer Balakote was contacted and sought a report in this regard and also investigate in the matter. Through the Serial number printed on the ballot paper the polling party was recognized with whom the ballot papers with said serial number lies,” the order stated and added, “Keeping in view of aforementioned facts and initial findings, the Polling Party No 052 (PS Mangakote) and employees namely Gulzar Ahmed PO, Master, HSS Gunhal Surankote; Asif Iqbal P1, Teacher, GMS Harni Gallian Zone Harni; and Mohd Yousuf P2, Junior Assistant, HS Kalai are placed under suspension with immediate effect.” District Education Planning Officer Poonch has been appointed as inquiry officer to conduct a detailed inquiry into the matter and submit detailed report at an earliest.
