NAGROTA: Three-day block level tournament being organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, Global Sampark Youth Club and Helpline Humanity was inaugurated at Jagti ground, here on Friday.
Games like kho-kho, volleyball, kabaddi, athletics and cycling will be held during the tournament. MLA Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdul Rahim Rather was the Chief Guest, who inaugurated the tournament. MLA stressed on the importance of sports in the career and fitness of the students and said that the international sports events have assumed a matter of political prestige amongst the big nations. The tournament is being held under the guidance of Maharaj Krishan Bhat and Jagti Committee. Other prominent persons present on the occasion included Col G.K Raina (Army Sports Incharge), Advocate Ravinder Raina, (AJKPC President), M.K Yogi and President National Conference Migrant Cell.
