REASI: Police on Monday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing three bovines and arresting a smuggler.
According to a report, a specific information was received at Police Station Arnas through reliable source that some persons were on way towards Kashmir from Thuroo without any legal permission. On this, a police team of Police Station Arnas along with Nafri of SPP Bassan laid a special Naka at Bassan and rescued three bovines from the possession of accused persons namely Mohammad Shafi son of Mirwaz resident of Thuroo Tehsil Arnas. The accused person was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 37/2016 under section 188 RPC was registered at Police Station Arnas.
