Thieves strike at Sub inspector’s house

JAMMU: These days City of Temples has become a den of thieves who are busy 24×7 in their notorious mission of committing thefts in the city.

According to sources, number of thefts have occurred involving crores of rupees in the past one month only in Trikuta Nagar, Amphala, New Plot, Chhanni Himmat, Raghunath Bazaar  etc.

As per the input available, only in one case, police was successful in recovering the stolen cash and jewellery. Thieves struck at the house of a Sub Inspector Raj Kumar Bhat at Janipur in the wee hours and stole cash and jewellery. In the morning they noticed the belongings and other materials of the house lying on the floor as also the broken locks of almirahs and safe. Police have registered a case and the investigations are on.  SI Bhat at the moment, is posted in the Valley and his family resides in the house at Janipur.
