Terming budget anti-people, pensioners to protest on June 5

JAMMU: All Jammu and Kashmir State Pensioners Association on Tuesday termed the state budget as directionless, anti-poor, anti-middle class, anti-employees, anti-pensioners, anti-development and also anti-traders.
The issue was discussed in a meeting of association held under the chairmanship of its General Secretary Madan Lal Abrol.
Yash Paul Senson, General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir General Category Welfare Forum, Jagdish Dogra, Puran Chand Khajuria, Des Raj Sharma, Madan Lal Sharma, Raj Kumar Banathia, Harbans Singh, Bhushan Pargal and Mohd Shafi were present.
Abrol appealed to the state pensioners to get united for the redressal of their long pending demands.
The association announced to hold a demonstration on Sunday at Rani Park Jammu against the neglect of pensioners in matter of enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs. 300 to Rs. 3000 at par with the Medical Allowance of MLAs.
