Ten-day summer camp concludes at JSS

KATHUA: Ten-day Summer Camp organised by Jammu Sanskriti School(JSS) , Kathua was concluded on Saturday.
The closing ceremony of the summer camp was held with great pomp and show.
“Summer camp was a successful course of action where nearly about 60 students participated and achieved success in learning various extracurricular activities such as Yoga, Dance, Music, Spoken English, Art-n-Craft and many more,” Shuchita Gupta, Principal of the school said.
The day started with Yoga which was mandatory for all the students followed by other activities as per the student’s curiosity and interest.
All these activities were performed under the supervision of trained and specialised teachers.
Shuchita further said that in present scenario students are under the pressure of scoring good percentage due to which their childhood is lost, besides studies children should be involved in extracurricular activities where their hidden talent can be assessed and nurtured further more.
She said, “I have observed how actively the children were participating in each and every activity and learnt maximum out of it.”
Overall, she said, ten days long summer camp has focussed on identifying the inherent capacity of the children aiding the students to develop their inborn tendencies into their talents.
On concluding day of the camp, Chairman Harpreet Singh Anand, Sunakshi Anand, Rohini Aima Vice Chairperson and Principal Jammu Sanskriti school Jammu, Harleen Anand, Ved Mahajan and Dr Sonia Mahajan were present to encourage the staff and the participants.
JSS also organised International Yoga Divas which was conducted by yoga experts Ved Mahajan and Dr. Sonia Mahajan.
Under their guidance students learned various yoga Aasans which included Surya Namaskar, Tadassan, Sighassan and many more.
The students exhibited what they learnt through a variety of activities.
The programme further proceeded with the prize distribution ceremony where all the students were felicitated with mementos. The honour was done by the Chairman of the School Harpreet Singh Anand, Principal Shuchita Gupta, Sunakshi Anand, Rohini Aima vice-chairperson and Principal Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu, Harleen Anand, and Administrator Govindram Sharma. The stage was held by Parvati and Renu.
