Tejveer of Haryana bags Chak Morh Dangal title

JAMMU: Tejveer of Rohtak in Haryana clinched the III Annual Chak Morh (Chopra Shop) Dangal title outplaying wrestler Sukha of Rajasthan in the main bout decided at Chak Morh in Udhampur.
Winner Tejveer was awarded a cash prize of Rs 16,000 by Chief Guest, BJP leader, Pawan Khajuria, who was accompanied by President J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Satish Kumar. Runners-up, Sukha given away the cash award of Rs 15,000 jointly by Ashok Kumar (Shosha), Ram Paul Sharma and Om Parkash Verma. Also present were Varinder Badyal, Santokh Chand, Manohar Lal and Naresh Kumar.
In all, 60 bouts decided in this Dangal, which was organised by Chak Morh Dangal Committee in collaboration with J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association. District President Udhampur Indian Style Wrestling Association, Varinder Badyal, Naib Tehsildar Santokh Chand, General Secretary of District Reasi Indian Style Wrestling Association, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Ram Paul Sharma were Guests of Honour.
Earlier, in the second main bout won, Manna of Chandigarh defeated Bobari of Surore. Manna awarded with a cash prize of Rs 7,000 while Bobari got Rs 4,000. The third main bout between Ajay Sharma of Udhampur and Raj Kumar of Delhi ended in a draw after 23-minute long tough contest.
