JAMMU: Team Blue on Sunday registered a fine 22 runs win against Josh Cricket Club in the ongoing Holi Cup Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Phalain Mandal in Tawi Island area, near here.
Earlier, batting first, after Josh Club won the toss and opted to field, Team Blue made 162 runs losing all their wickets in 19.4 overs.
Shakir played brilliant innings of 42-ball 58 runs while Asif and Danish contributed 32 and 31 runs respectively. For Josh Club, Rinku claimed three wickets while Nitin and Arjun bagged two and one wicket respectively.
In reply, Josh Club was bundled out for 140 runs in 19.2 overs. Sanjay Chib and Rinku were main scorers with 32 and 20 runs respectively. Shubham Choudhary added 12-bal 18 runs to the total. Sunil was most successful bowler for Team Blue, who clinched four wickets for 23 runs in four overs. Arshid took two wickets and Imtiyaz bagged one.
Later, Sunil of Team Blue was declared Man of the Match for his four wickets haul. Today’s match was officiated by the technical panel comprising Virender Singh and Bablu as Umpires while Raj Kumar was Scorer.
