UDHAMPUR: A district level workshop for five days on Sign Language for teachers is being organised under SSA at Govt Girls High School Udhampur from 15th to 19th June 2015.
In this workshop 55 teachers from different Zones (five teachers per zone ) are participating . Teachers are being prepared to cater for the needs of the children with special needs such as deaf, deaf and dumb and severely hearing impaired.
Refreshment as well as remuneration charges will also be paid to the teachers. Chief Education Officer Bishan Singh addressed the participant teachers and stressed upon them to learn the sign language properly so that the needs of the disabled children be fulfilled in the schools of different zones.
