JAMMU: A workshop on Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) was conducted in the JK Public School’s auditorium, here on Monday.
The workshop was headed by Principal, S.K Singh who briefed teachers about what is Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation and why it is required. He said that continuous and comprehensive evaluation refers to a system of school based assessment that covers all aspects of student’s development. The main aim of CCE is to evaluate every aspect of child during their presence at the school. It is also believed to help reduce the pressure on the child during examinations.
He also mentioned that CCE method will help to bring enormous changes from the traditional chalk and talk method of teaching. This will help students who are not good in academics to show their talent in other fields such as arts, sports, athletics and also help the students who have a thirst of knowledge. He asked teachers to diagnose a student carefully and provide proper remedy in order to enhance the effectiveness in behavioral outcome of a student. Besides this, Yoga exercise was also performed by teacher’s to make themselves relaxed.
