BHADARWAH: United Teachers Forum (UTF) Doda hailed education minister and his team for streamlining the education system by introducing transparent transfer policy especially in the case of ReT teachers.
In a meeting of UTF which was held here under the chairmanship of its President Arif Rana, all the members welcomed government’s decision on placing 415 ReT teachers who were transferred to their original place of posting thereby clearing the confusion and chaos among the general line teachers.
“408 general line teachers who after clearing SSRB joined the duties in 2015 but were deprived of their salaries till date because ReT teachers were transferred against the vacancies stipulated for general line teachers,” said President Arif Rana.
“Acting swiftly on government’s direction, CEO Doda immediately swung into action and transferred all the 415 ReT teachers to their original place of posting thereby paving way for the newly appointed teachers to join their duties,” Rana said adding that salary of ReT teachers are being paid by the central government under SSA, however general line teachers are being paid by the state government, so instead of creating any confusion in the future ReT teachers should be transferred among themselves if required.
Meanwhile, hailing the High Court judgment which upheld the transfer order of CEO Doda, UTF demanded that a Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) should be immediately convened as 3000 posts of Master grade are lying vacant in Jammu province alone, so that stagnation among the teaching staff (Teachers/Masters) could be removed. They further demanded that the adequate fund should be released for teachers appointed after 2010 under New Pension Scheme as they don’t get salaries for months at a stretch due to paucity of funds. Vishal Kotwal, Ahsan Ahmed, Jaffer Muner, Aadil Rashid, Shabir Ahmed and Tousef Zarger also addressed the meeting.
