JAMMU: “Of the Teachers, by the Teachers & for the Teachers”. That is true for the Teachers’ Day celebration of JK Educational Society on the occasion of Teachers’ Day at Blue Moon Banquet Hall on Monday.
The day was celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of great educationist and second President of India, Dr. Saravapalli Radhakrishnan. All Educational institutions, under the aegis of JK Educational Society , participated in the programme.
The programme began with welcome speech by the Director JK Education Society, Shashi Chaudhary, who welcomed everyone and enumerated the qualities of good teachers as well as she apprised the teachers about their role in nation building.
The function was presided over by the Chairman JK Educational Society, Raj Daluja, Patron JK Educational Society Davinder Daluja, Member of Management Sara Daluja, Mr and Mrs Rohmetra, Principal JK Public School Panjtirthi Suman Banbah, Principal JK Public School Kunjwani, Rajesh Rathore, Vice Principal Shashi Rattan, Associate Vice Principal Roopinder Kour and school Coordinators Inderjeet Kour, Shivangini Pandotra.
Scintillating dance performance of Meera Gatum left everyone mesmerized. Melodious songs were sung by Kamaldeep Kour, Eliza Sotra, Neelam Bharadwaj, Rashmi, Upinder Sharma that enthralled the audience. Thereafter, Principal of JK Public School Panjtirthi, Suman Bambah along with her teachers enthralled everyone with their dance performance.
The stage was put on fire by the coaches of JK Public school, Kunjwani with their performance on Dogri Song. A Hindi poem was recited by Mamta Malhotra.
Principal JK Public School, Kunjwani also sang a beautiful song in his melodious voice which was the highlight of the event. He appreciated the Patron Davinder Daluja & Chairman Raj Daluja for laying the foundation stone of JKPS three decades ago, which has become a Trendsetter, a centre of excellence in imparting 21st century holistic education. Standup comedy by Munish Gupta made everyone burst into peals of laughter.
Foot tapping dances of School co-ordinator Shivangani Pandotra, Inderjeet Kour, Rakesh (Smile), the Teachers of Middle Wing and Preparatory Wing left the audience awestruck.
Brigadier Sukhdev Singh, former Director JK Educational Society also wished Happy Teachers’ Day to everyone on the occasion.
Keeping in league with the mood, Chairman Raj Daluja gave a humorous challenge to everyone, wherein people were expected to recite a tongue twister comprised of words taken from six different languages but in vain.
Special prizes for best dress, best performance was given to teachers. Gifts as a token of love were given by the management to everyone.
Vote of thanks was presented by the Vice Principal, Shashi Rattan in quite a comprehensive manner, wherein she applauded everyone for his/her phenomenal contributions in making this day extremely delightful n cherishing.
