BHADARWAH: A pillion rider was killed when the scooter he was riding met with an accident on Bhalla-Trown road on Monday evening.
Sanjay Kumar son of Krishan Lal resident of Bhalla (a teacher by profession) was on his way to Bhalla from Trown with someone on a scooter bearing registration number JK06-8628.
The scooterist tried to overtake a tipper on narrow road near Bhalla(2 Km ahead) , resulting him losing control and getting entangled into the barbed wire. In the accident Sanjay Kumar got serious injuries and was immediately shifted to PHC Bhalla where doctors declared him brought dead.
“The person who was driving the scooty fled from the spot,” said SDPO Bhadarwah Sardar Sajjad Ahmed Khan adding we have registered an FIR at Police Station Bhadarwah and started Investigation, ” officer added.
