TDC manager booked for manhandling shopkeeper

JAMMU: Police on Saturday booked a Manager of J&K Tourism Development Corporation for manhandling a shopkeeper at Tourist Reception Office (TRC) at Residency Road in the morning.
The shopkeeper, Joginder Pal Gupta had gone to TRC for registering a complaint regarding the leakage in rooftop of his shop located at the main road.
The officer, identified as Amnan Ahmed Bhat, locked him inside his room and gave a severe thrashing. All the shopkeepers of the area assembled and lodged a complaint with the police.
A case under section 323 RPC has been registered at City Police Station against the Manager of J&K TDC.
