KATRA: Continuing its tradition of recruiting engineering students of high quality, TCS recently re-visited SMVDU, for selecting engineering students from the current batch. SMVDU is an accredited partner of TCS and the company has been regularly visiting SMVDU since it has found the students up to their standards.
Despite various constraints of job market, TCS selected a total of 46 students for recruitment from the current batch thus signaling the start of Campus Recruitment-2015 programme at SMVDU. The students passed through a rigorous On-line written test followed by multiple interview sessions. Campus Recruitment Team from TCS was extremely pleased with the selections made and expressed appreciation of the facilities at SMVDU.
Prof. S. K Jain Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU congratulated the selected students and said that the university is continuing towards its objective of preparing manpower of high quality and integrity in the field of Engineering, Sciences, Management and Humanities. He said that the university is concerned about providing opportunities to the trained and talented students of the region so that they are placed with the best organisations in the country. Hence a pool campus of TCS was conducted in SMVDU wherein 12 students of GCET Jammu were also placed.
Prof. V. Verma Chairman Placements complimented the T and P Faculty and Student Coordinators, Placement Officer SMVDU and the volunteers for the good show. He further stressed that the students should prepare for other placement opportunities which are expected to materialise shortly. It is pertinent to note that L and T Infotech will be visiting SMVDU, Katra for campus recruitment of B. Tech and MCA students on 3rd September 2015.
