JAMMU: Former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand on Friday took serious note of the speech of separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani about restricting Shri Amarnath Yatra in Kashmir Himalayas for a minimum of 15 and maximum of 30 days.
Tara Chand said that India is a secular country where every religion is at liberty to perform its rituals. “Any interference or threat from fringe sections of the majority community cannot be tolerated”, he asserted.
The former Deputy Chief Minister appreciated the role of Indian Army and J&K Police for conducting smooth Amarnath Yatra over the years.
