Srinagar: Hardline Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Wednesday said talks within Indian Constitution for resolution of Kashmir were not acceptable.
“We don’t accept the Indian Constitution at all. So talks within its framework is out of question,” the separatist leader, who is under house arrest, said while addressing a rally in south Kashmir over telephone.
Referring to the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi about talks on Kashmir, Geelani said, “Talks under the Indian Constitution is nothing but wastage of time and it has been going on for the last seven decades.”
