JAMMU: Janipur Police on late Wednesday night arrested two gangsters involved and wanted in firing incident at Tali Morh in January 2016.
As per the reports, a team of Police Station Janipur led by SHO R S Bhau on a specific information raided a hideout at Gang Morh Bantalab and arrested two gangsters which were identified as Harjeet Singh, son of Gurmukh Singh, resident of Nanak Nagar and Gurmeet Singh, son of Rajinder Singh, resident of district Ropar, Punjab. A case vide FIR No 6/2016 under Section 307/24 RPC, 4/27, 2/25 Arms Act was registered against them at Police Station Janipur.
Pertinent to mention here, On 11th January 2016, Jaspreet Singh alias Tina, son of Kulwant Singh managed to flee when Jambo opened fire on him. Both the accused and victim had fled while police got hold of a Scorpio (JK02BC-5684) from the spot.
Few days back Trikuta Nagar Police also arrested four armed gangsters of Jambo Gang from Kho Wali Gali near posh Trikuta Nagar locality. Police has already arrested their close associate Vikramjeet Singh a ,month back and booked under Public Safety Act (PSA).
