Take benefit of central schemes: Khatana

JAMMU: MP Rajya Sabha Er. Gulam Ali Khatana on Sunday urged the people to take benefit of centrally sponsored schemes for the welfare of the downtrodden and backward areas. He also extended new year greetings and hoped that year 2023 will bring peace and prosperity to the people of country especially Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a largely attended meeting at Mandal in district Samba today Er. Gulam Ali Khatana said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government has ensured that benefit of welfare schemes reaches to the needy and poor and multiple checks have been ensured so that pilferage comes to minimum. He said that special focus is on providing potable drinking water and electricity to every household and in near future this dream will come true.
Er. Khatana said that locals have been complaining of unavailability of funds under PMAY by Samba administration and he will take up the issue with the district administration. He said that Panchayati raj Institutions and local bodies have been empowered by the central govt after neutering of the Article 370 so that local problems can be resolved at local level.
He said that neighbouring country has been trying to disturb peace in the union territory but our forces are prepared to defeat their nefarious designs.
Khatana urged the people to keep any eye on anti-social elements especially drug smugglers as drugs are capable of destroying a whole generation.
Earlier, Sarpanch Sapna Sapolia welcomed MP Er. Gulam Ali Khatana and said people have lots of hopes from him.
Prominent among other who spoke were Roshan Hussain Choudhary president BJP ST Morcha, Ch. Fareed, Ch. Potoo, Ram Saroop, Des Raj Naib Sarpanch and Ghulam Hussain.
