Dear Editor,
The game plan of bureaucrats, in connivance with politicians, to downgrade the stature and status of the armed forces through successive pay commissions is now clearly evident. Unfortunately, the armed forces are forbidden from forming any union, unlike other government services; even the Civil Services are represented by unions. Thus, even though injustice is constantly practised by bureaucrats to degrade the armed forces, the politicians are missing out the fact that patience has its limits. The anomalies of the Sixth Pay Commission are yet to be rectified. It is time that the underlined concept between the dotted lines is read and interpreted, as well as remedied, without wasting anymore time.
