JAMMU: A State level symposium on World Breastfeeding Week on the theme ‘Sustaining breastfeeding together’ organised by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India and Community Food and Nutrition Extension Unit (CFNEU), Jammu for Supervisors of ICDS mission of different projects began at Press Club, here from Tuesday.
Zorawar Singh, Chairman Team Jammu and Secretary General of Press Club Jammu was the Chief Guest of the function who focused on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding while addressing the participants.
Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Head of the Department of Community Medicines GMC Jammu and Dr. Sakshi Bakshi were the Resource Persons who delivered the lecture on the subject.
Dr. O.P Gupta Retd. Dy. Director Health, Manoj Kotru from Bee Enn Paramedical Collage Jammu and Santosh Bandral social worker and singer also attended the function and spoke on the subject. Devinder Bakshi CHO (Retd) compered the proceedings of the function .
R.P. Meena Incharge CFNEU, Jammu also delivered lecture on the subject and presented a vote of thanks.
