Swimming Pool opened at JKPS Kunjwani

JAMMU: Swimming is a good physical activity as it keeps one’s heart-rate fit, builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness besides taking off stress.
JK Public School, Kunjwani witnessed a grand opening of ‘Aquatic Meet’ on Thursday in swimming pool area of the school.
The event was graced by the presence of Chairman JK Educational Society Raj Daluja as the Chief Guest.
The other dignitaries present on the occasion included Director JK Educational Society Shashi Choudhary, Principal Rajesh Rathore, Vice Principal Roopinder Kour; School Coordinator Inderjeet Kour, Coordinator of Toddlers’ World Shivangini Pandotra and parents as special guests.
The event began with welcome song by the school choir, the dignitaries stepped forward for Pooja of the pool which was followed by the School Song.
Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore welcomed the Chief Guest, dignitaries and parents with his address.
He thanked the magnanimous management for providing excellent infrastructure to students for their overall development.
He also lauded the unstinted support of parents, who respond very positively whenever they are invited to the school.
He congratulated all students for their participation in the event, without caring for victory or failure, as it is the participation that matters. He encouraged students to rise-up, start fresh and see bright opportunity each day, as every goal can be achieved with dedication and hard work.
Thereafter, the Chief Guest, Raj Daluja, formally declared the Aquatic Meet open.
The swimming pool wore a festive and colourful look during the Aquatic Meet. The young swimmers of various age group of J K Public School showcased their talent in the swimming event ‘Boys Free Style’ and ‘Girls Free style’.
The event witnessed a display of beautiful sportsmanship as swimmers dove into the inviting water, making their way through the length of the pool.
There were moments of breath-taking sporting ability as some swimmers easily outstripped others in the lanes next to them. The clappers and splashes echoed throughout the pool area with enthusiastic swimmers diving in and coming out of the pool.
The junior and senior wing demonstrated their virtuosity through ‘Aquatic Dance’, which enthralled the audience.
Parents also praised the under-roof swimming pool of the school, which is the only one in the entire State.
The event culminated with formal vote of thanks by Vice Principal Roopinder Kour, followed by recitation of the National Anthem.
