NOWSHERA: The Swarankars strike against the imposition of excise duty, has entered the eighth day. All the jewellers kept their shops closed and held a protest rally raising slogans against the imposition of excise duty by the Finance Minister.
The protesters demanded immediate roll-back of the duty failing which they would intensify their agitation. Prominent among those present in the protest include President Subhash Kapoor, Rajesh Kumar, Jagdish Chander Sawhney and Sham Murari.
