Swami Vishweshwaranand Giri will receive Kailakh Sanskrit Ratna Award

JAMMU: Shri Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shri Vishweshwaranand Giri Ji Maharaj will be awarded this year’s “Kailakh Sanskrit Ratna Puraskar”. He will be given this year honor for promoting Devvani Sanskrit.
This information was given by Mahant Rohit Shastri, President of Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sanathan Trust.
He told that in order to promote Devvani Sanskrit, trust started Kailakh Rattan Puraskar since 2017, Award was awarded every year to a scholar of Sanskrit for doing excellent work in the field of Devvani Sanskrit.
This year the Trust has decided to give this award to Sanskrit scholar Shri Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shri Vishweshwaranand Giri Ji Maharaj.
Shri Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shri Vishweshwaranand Giri Ji is the eleventh President of Suratgiri Bangla, Haridwar and President of Sanyas Ashram Vile Parle Mumbai.
At the age of 18, Swamiji came to Sanyas Ashram for the first time as a celibate. On May 6, 1981, Swamiji took the direction of retirement.
Swamiji did his Vedantacharya from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University Varanasi and MA from Mumbai University.
On May 10, 1995, his Guru Ji Brahmalin Mahamandaleshwar Shri Swami Brahmanand Giri Ji Maharaj handed over the responsibility of the ashram and honored him with the title of Mahamandaleshwar in the presence of Saint-Mahatmas. Shri Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shri Vishweshwaranand Giri Ji Maharaj will be honored soon by organizing a grand event in Jammu. Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha will be present in the program as the chief guest.
