Swachhta Pakhwara of JK College: NSS unit carries out cleanliness drive

JAMMU: The volunteers of National Service Scheme (NSS) of JK College of Education as a part of Swachhta Pakhwara visited Bandhurakh village and conducted a cleanliness drive.
The students not only cleaned the streets and locality but also interacted with villagers and made them aware about the necessity of maintaining hygiene of the surroundings for keeping good health.
A poster making competition on ‘Health, Hygiene and Cleanliness’ was also organised wherein students participated and made thought provoking posters on the topic and conveyed the message impressively.
The students were also taken to Bandhurakh village to run an awareness drive in the village. They interacted with the people and listened to their problems regarding sanitation. The students made the villagers aware about the tips of maintaining the environment clean and green.
The students paid visit in the Government High School, Bandhurakh and motivated the students of the school to take up the responsibility of keeping their school and home clean and green.
