JAMMU: Swachhata Rath has been launched by Deputy Director Rural Sanitation Jammu during ongoing Khule Me Sauch Se Azadi week being observed from August 9 to 15, 2017.
The Swachhata Rath visited different villages/GPS/ blocks of district Samba and Jammu where the officials of Rural Sanitation Department advised the rural people not to defecate in the open, construct and use toilets at home.
The Swachhata Rath is also visiting other districts of Jammu Division to raise mass awareness regarding this social menace.
On the occasion, soaps, towels, nail cutters, sanitary napkins are being distributed among children to encourage hygiene.
