‘Swachhata Hi Seva’: Excise Deptt carries out cleanliness drive

JAMMU: Excise Deptt under the guidance of Excise Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma today carried out a cleanliness drive in Bahu Plaza as a part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2023 Campaign’ to promote cleanliness and garbage-free India.
Swachata Hi Seva is an annual cleanliness and sanitation campaign initiated by the Government of India. It aims to foster a culture of cleanliness and hygiene among the citizens of India, promote environmental conservation, and work towards a Swachh Bharat (Clean India).
The campaign encourages public participation, awareness, and education on sanitation and environmental issues. On the occasion the Excise Commissioner said that the department will continue to promote such events and appealed the general public to ensure cleanliness in and around their surroundings to make India garbage free.
The campaign was conducted under the supervision of Kusum Sharma, City Excise Range South.
