NEW DELHI: To celebrate New Year in a unique manner, Kalkaji Constituency MLA Harmeet Singh Kalka along with his colleagues launched a campaign ‘Swachh Kalkaji, Swachh Bharat’ by distributing car dustbins to the residents of Kalkaji to stop the practice of dumping garbage in and around the city and on the roads.
Harmeet Singh Kalka highlighted the problem of throwing wrappers of chips, biscuits, empty bottles of cold drinks, etc on the road by people moving on their cars. Trying to solve the issue of trash dumping on the roads, residents of Kalkaji constituency took the resolution to use car dustbins and become a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’.
“We always look forward in developing Kalkaji constituency and with this initiative of Swachh Kalkaji, I wish to be a healthy part of Clean India Campaign,” he maintained.
Singh added that cleanliness is also a key to good health.
