Swachh Bharat Abhiyan carried out inBhadarwah

BHADARWAH: The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan started with much fanfare here at Bhadarwah on Saturday by formally flagging off by Executive Officer Municipal Committee, Tariq Mehmood Balwan.
Much before the event started, participants armed with brooms landed up outside the office of MCB near Pasri Bus Stand Bhadarwah . Hundreds of employees and local people of Bhadarwah town also took a pledge to keep the city clean.
After concluding the cleanliness drive in all streets and roads of Bhadarwah town, EO MCB Tariq Balwan in his speech asked people to pledge that they will devote 100 hours every year and two hours each week on keeping the city clean.
Meanwhile, Himayat Training Center Bhadarwah launched a massive special cleanliness drive involving awareness activities on area cleanliness, health and hygiene. Ashiq Hussain Mehta Center Manager, Majid Hussain Baba, Umar Tak, Ashok Kumar, Neha Raj, Shalni Sharma and students of the center took the oath for cleanliness to fulfill the aim of a Clean India.
Addressing the participants Ashiq Hussain Mehta said, “We can stay healthy physically and mentally, only by keeping our environment clean. He also said that wellness depended on the cleanliness of one’s surroundings”.
