BARAMULLA: To ensure maximum participation in the Assembly elections and to create awareness among the people, District Administration Baramulla on Tuesday organised an awareness programme at under Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP).
The programme was held under the chairmanship of Nodal Officer for Election and Nodal Officer for SVEEP. During the programme village level committees were constituted and awareness regarding voter turnout, electoral registration and maximum voter participation was given to the students, ASHA Workers, teachers and 50 volunteers from different blocks also participated in the awareness programme.
On the occasion, Nodal Officer for Election said that Indian Constitution under Article 324 ensures free and fair elections and guarantees right to vote for all having attained the age of 18 years.
