SVEEP Observer for massive participation in Assembly polls

KULGAM: The Observer for SVEEP in Kulgam District Kripa Shankar Yadav has called for optimal utilisation of time to ensure that all left over eligible persons are brought on electoral roll during the next few days by availing continuous updation option.
Chairing a meeting of Zonal Education Officers, Block Development Officers, Project Officers (ICDS) and school principals here this morning, he called for conducting door to door survey for registering the left over eligible voters. The joint village level campaign by teachers, AW workers and VLWs will go a long way to achieve the objective of ideal electoral-population ratio, the Observer emphasised.
The District Election Officer briefed the Observer about the SVEEP plan under implementation in the district. He said Kulgam has improved EP ratio over the years consistently due to awareness campaign launched across the district in collaboration with media and other stakeholders.
The Observer also laid stress on converting voters into electors through sustained campaign, adding the massive turn out reinforces democracy and political system of the country. He called for providing enabling environment to the voters so that the good voter turnout is witnessed in the forthcoming Assembly polls.
