JAMMU: Sunny Baba, the alleged Supari killer in sensational Amandeep murder case, was on Wednesday ‘attacked’ inside the District Jail here and rushed to Government Medical College Hospital, with stab injuries.
Baba is reported to have told the police that he was attacked by three jail inmates along with a cop and inflicted wounds on his right hand by a kirch (sharp edged weapon).
Doctors at GMC said, “There was a deep injury mark on Sunny Baba’s right hand which has been stitched and bandaged.”
Jail Superintendent Harish Kotwal, however, rubbished his statement, saying, Sunny Baba had infact inflicted wounds on his hand himself to take avenge from his rivals.
He said Baba was creating scene by pretending to be ill since last evening in order to have himself shifted to the hospital.
On 16 May, 2011, Sunny Baba was arrested by Jammu police for allegedly hatching conspiracy after taking ‘supari’ from Choudhary Nagar Singh to eliminate prime witnesses in the infamous Amandeep Singh murder case
