REASI: The Sungri Hills Cricket Club lifted the Chasana Premiere League 2015 trophy by defeating the Chasana Cricket Club by 10 runs in the final played on Tuesday.
The league was organised by the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion based at Samote, under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles Force Headquarter, Reasi.
The tournament which commenced in the third week of April 2015 was conducted on the T-20 league cum knock out format wherein eight teams saw intense competition over 14 days.
The novel sports fest culminated with awards ceremony jointly witnessed by large number of spectators, dignitaries of civil administration and the army.
The Sarpanch of village Chasana, Jasbir Singh said that the conducts of such tournaments not only develop a spirit of sportsmanship but also imbibe in the young students a bond of unity in diversity.
