MENDHAR: A 9-year-old boy was crushed to death by a speeding Sumo in Mankote area Thasil mendhar of Poonch district on Wednesday.
According to a report, 9 years Kamran Ahmed, a class 4th student, son of Kabir Hussain of Fatehpur Mandi Poonch was hit by Sumo (JK12-3961) near Mankote on Sagra to Mendhar Road.
Locals rushed the boy to SDH Mendhar, where doctors declared him dead.
Meanwhile, police have seized the vehicle but driver escaped from the spot. Police have registered a case in this regard.
