JAMMU: Rahul and Binny duo on Tuesday helped SSCC Bataira make it a seven runs win against City Riders in the ongoing Summer Cup Akhnoor Twenty20 Cricket Tournament, organised by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School Ground, here.
While Rahul played brilliant innings of 67 runs, Binny bowled well taking away four wickets. Earlier, batting first, SSCC set a target of 160 runs for nine wickets. Rahul made 31-ball 67 runs while Anil and Gopal contributed 21 and 13 runs respectively.
For City Riders, Sunil and Mukesh bowled well taking away four wickets each. Ijaz and Sunny shared apiece each.
Batting second, City Riders could make 152 runs for eight wickets to lose the game by seven runs. Rohan remained highest scorer with 48-ball 52 runs, followed by Sunny and Akash, who contributed 20 and 10 runs respectively. For SSCC Bataira, Binny took most of the four wickets while Happy, Lablu and Rahul shared one each.
For his all round performance, Rahul was named Man of the Match. Vikas Bali and Rajinder Sharma were umpires in today’s match while Jimmy Magotra maintained the score.
