Summer camp kick starts at JKPS Kathua

JAMMU: A seven-day Summer Camp commenced at JK Public School, Kathua on Monday. The camp offers host of activities to inspire and stimulate young minds through innovative courses like Yoga and meditation, Swimming, Skating, Art and craft, Music (vocal and instrumental), Dance (western and classical), Martial Arts, Cricket, Personality Development, Calligraphy, Fun Games, Play Station rides and much more.

The camp was inaugurated in the school premises and was declared open by Principal of the School, Anil Pathania.

The response and enthusiasm of the young students was overwhelming.

Principal stressed the need for extending learning beyond the four walls of the classroom. He stated that such camps help to build teamwork, co-operation, leadership and individuality amongst students. The little swimmers started with the tips from their swimming mentor Kiran Sambyal. Besides these Martial Arts by Anchal Sharma, Music by Bharat Bhushan, Dance by Shakti Sharma, Art and Craft by    Kanchan Jasrotia, Cricket by Arun Sharma, Calligraphy by Navjot Kour.

The personality development classes by Vinay Kapoor and Vaishali received special appreciation from all quarters.

Coordinator Monika Patyal welcoming the students said that the camp shall bridge the gap between the school and the home and will provide a happy and engaging experience to refresh the children during vacations.
