Summer camp culminates at Jodhamal School

JAMMU: Jodhamal Public School organised ‘OASIS’, the summer camp, in the school campus, which concluded on Saturday.
It offered access to amazing child-focused activities with sessions taking place in a variety of locations throughout the school premises.
OASIS combined different ages and skill level for the students who want to keep in shape or try to do something recreational even during their holidays.
Students from all over the town enjoyed the fun-filled activities at JMPS who underwent challenging and rewarding experience of character enactment by the CCA Coordintor Junior School Sonia Mahajan together with the Contemporary Dance form in which all students enjoyed the foot tapping contemporary and classical dance, the little magical fingers played on the Casio and the Guitar, the little chefs prepared mouth watering dishes in the Buns and Beans Club coordinated by Harmeet Kukkal and Leela Bist and the participants were taken to McDonalds for a session on how to make the Burger etc. and the children from different schools who had been a part felt it was a real treat for them to be a part of OASIS.
The participants also exercised various sports and built up their stamina under the guidance of professional coaches for various sports like football, basketbal, aerobics and ultimately they beat the heat by splashing themselves in the pool.
All the age groups and different skills have been combined at OASIS, to provide a platform to the students to hone up their skills. The school not only offered various activities within the campus but also organized a visit to McDonalds where kids not only learnt but enjoyed the Happy Meal as well.
With regular break and a balanced mix of fun and learning, each day involved two sections of activities, each lasting for 1 hour and 50 minutes.
On the Culmination ceremony we had Arati Kuthiala, trustee Jodhamal as the Chief Guest wherein all parents and Guests were also there to witness the cultural show presented by the participants.
The best part of the culmination ceremony was that the parent could witness whatever the kids leant in the fortnight and the complete programme was conducted by the students under the guidance of the Sr. CCE Coordinator Nandani Bakshi who planned and executed the complete Summer Camp from the day one.
Also present on the occasion was Santosh Dogra Sr Coordinator Jodhamal School as the Guest of Honour who graced the occasion by witnessing a frolic and colourful programme put up by the students on the day of culmination.
Arati Kuthiala and Dogra appreciated the meticulous planning and execution of the Oasis- Summer Camp and extended the compliments to the teachers and coaches involved.
CCA Coordinator, Nandani Bakshi gave the welcome address to the Chief Guest and the parents. Vice Principal Monika Sethi presented the vote of thanks.
Principal, Trilok Singh Bist, highlighted the enthusiastic participation of the parents and the children and said that every child is special and they have the right to feel good about themselves and each should be taught to believe in themselves.
A good balance between the love and care with discipline at the crux of parenting is the main mantra of good parenting. Bist wished all the parent the very best for good parenting.
