YOL: As part of the ongoing series of activities under Gyan Chakra – Think Tank, a Study Conclave on contemporary and futuristic issues concluded here on Thursday. The conclave incorporated eminent speakers to deliberate upon various subjects of politico-military significance, impacting the region in general and Armed Forces in particular.
While delivering the keynote address, Lt Gen KJ Singh, Army Commander, Western Command, spoke about the Geo-Political and Military dimensions of emerging regional and new world order. He emphasised the need of developing a deeper understanding of the strategic issues and their implications, in view of the emerging threat dynamics in the region. The renowned speakers who expressed their views during the course of two days include Lt Gen Anil Chait (Retd), Lt Gen SL Narasimhan (Retd), Lt Gen HS Panag (Retd), Maj Gen Amarjeet Singh (Retd), Maj Gen R Bassi (Retd) and Manpreet Sethi. The event was attended by over two hundred serving and retired officers from Jammu, Pathankot and Dharamshala.
