Students seek stern action against police

UDHAMPUR: Today addressing a press conference Student’s United Front leader Ganpat Sharma said that the way students of NIT who were brutally assaulted by Kashmir Police with support of NIT staff need to be widely condemned.
He asked Govt. to initiate stern legal action against the erroneous police officials who used force upon innocent and patriotic students who unfurled the tricolour. He said all degree collages including Govt. Degree Collage for Boys, Govt. Collage for Woman and Baskar Collage unfurled the Tricolour in the premises of their college in Udhampur to show solidarity with NIT students. They expressed their resentment against the Govt. for not initiating any action against the erring police officials and staff of NIT.
He alleged that police used force upon innocent patriotic students instead of taking action against those who were involved in creating vandalism. He demanded safety and security and justice for NIT students.
