JAMMU: Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), one of the premier government institutes of India, recently conducted written test for lateral entry in Bachelor of Engineering programme.
Ten students of 6th semester Mechanical Engineering of Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk, Jammu cleared written examination.
Out of ten students, five students got selected in Bachelor of Engineering programme in Mechanical Engineering Department of SLIET after the first round of counselling. The result of second counselling is still awaited.
Er. Ritu Jamwal, Principal, Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk, lauded the efforts of Rishabh Gupta, Lecturer, Mechanical Engineering Department for providing intensive coaching to the students apart from their regular class work. The programme was conducted under the supervision of K.S Bhatia, HoD, Mechanical Engineering Department of the Institute.
