JAMMU: Riding on a brilliant bowling display by Vishal Bhat and magnificent knock by Bipin Raju, team Strikers defeated Eleven Stars by four wickets and won win the cricket match organized by Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) at IMS playground, Patoli Brahmana near here. The initiative was taken by the students of Management Department of IMS. Earlier, Strikers won the toss and opted to ball first.
Eleven Stars scored a modest total of 109 runs in 15 overs. Harshdev was the top scorer with 25 runs, while Moomin and Vishav Kohli contributed 20 and 18 runs to the total respectively. For Strikers, Vishal Bhat scalped three wickets while Madhav claimed two. In reply, team Strikers chased the target in just 11.3 overs by losing six wickets, thus won the match by four wickets. Bipin Raju top scored with 76 runs off juts 24 balls and was declared Man of the Match. The match was officiated by Rohit Ganjoo and Akshay as Umpires, while Vivek Sanson and Mukesh Sharma were acted the scorer and commentator respectively. Earlier, the match was inaugurated by Vidhi Singh Jamwal, Chairman JGEI, Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, Th. Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice-Chairman and Prof. J. R Dhotra, Director IMS. The tournament was organised by Shiveta Bakshi, Tania Mengi and Vineeta Sharma, under the supervision of Prof J. R Dhotra, Director, IMS.
