POONCH: Strength Lifting Championship which was inaugurated yesterday by State Cabinet Minister Zulifkar Choudhary concluded at Poonch on Monday. Winners were awarded by Lt.Col. W.C Bilwada and DySP HQ Poonch Mohan Lal who were Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest lauded the role of youth for organising sports event.
He said that youth requires such events to be held so that energy of youth could be channelized in positive direction. Guest of Honour also lauded the role of organizers and said that such sports event are helpful in tapping talent from border areas.
Prominent citizens lauded role of youth in organising sports event particularly Imtiaz Salaria who was instrumental.
Others who were present includes Prem Luthra Taj Mir, Tariq Khan, Pardeep Khanna, Khan,shamim Banday, Dr Abassi,Raman kumar, Moulana Moulana Shazad Anwari, SalilRain, Nishu Gupta, Sarfraz Mir, Asad Chuhan, Nischal Sharma and Rajiv Kumar.
